URBAN AIR MOBILITY,
redefined

Urban mobility is trapped in two dimensions; as cities expand vertically, transport must follow. Electric vertical take-off aircraft lift movement into this third dimension while tapping a rapidly decarbonising grid. Their success depends on three intertwined variables: seat-kilometre energy efficiency comparable to high-speed rail, acoustic signatures that blend into the ambient city, and safety architectures rigorous enough for airline certification. Vayu Mobility treats these variables as first principles, integrating multi-path propulsion redundancy, wing-borne cruise optimisation and predictive maintenance intelligence into a single eVTOL platform, making aerial transit a dependable extension of urban infrastructure.

VMe-001

VMe-001 is our first eVTOL platform built to convert those first principles into a real aircraft. It blends distributed electric propulsion with a lift-generating wing to achieve vertical access without paying the usual penalty in cruise efficiency, while its systems are architected around layered safety, controllability, and operational simplicity. From propulsion redundancy and acoustic intent to maintainability and certification readiness, VMe-001 is designed as an aircraft operators can run every day and cities can live with.

Hybrid Distributed Propulsion Architecture

VMe-001 pairs the best of both propulsion worlds: ducted propulsors where acoustic containment and tip-loss control matter most, and open propellers where clean airflow and cruise efficiency dominate. The system is built around ten electric rotors arranged as four tilting ducted fans integrated around the fuselage, two tilting wingtip propellers that drive efficient wing-borne flight, and four dedicated lift rotors optimized for stable hover. This separation of roles lets each propulsor operate in its most efficient regime across hover, transition, and cruise, while distributed thrust and independent propulsion paths provide high control authority and redundancy that is fundamental to the aircraft, not an afterthought.

Six-Seat Cabin, Built for Comfort

VMe-001 is designed around a 1 (pilot) + 5 passenger cabin that feels more like a premium ground vehicle than a conventional aircraft. A 2 + 2 + 2 seating layout creates natural personal space, and easier ingress and egress, while the cabin proportions are engineered to stay spacious without compromising aerodynamic efficiency. From vibration-aware structures and smooth flight control to thoughtful lighting, ventilation, and acoustic treatment, every element is tuned to reduce fatigue and elevate the experience, making short urban flights feel calm, refined, and genuinely comfortable.

One Platform, Multiple Missions

VMe-001 is built as a configurable aircraft, not a single-purpose cabin. The core airframe supports fast reconfiguration between air taxi, EMS and medical logistics, and priority cargo missions, so operators can match capacity to demand across the day. A modular interior and mission-ready provisions enable passenger comfort when flying people, rapid access and equipment accommodation for emergency response, and clean load paths for cargo, all without redesigning the aircraft. This flexibility increases utilization, improves unit economics, and makes the platform viable for real-world networks rather than niche routes.
